Golf Balls Ecommerce: Driving Encore’s Online Sales
Project Overview
Encore Recycled Golf Balls were enjoying success via their Amazon and eBay channels but wanted to have more control of the selling process, a stronger brand presence and an increase in margins.
I’d already been involved with their visual identity and packaging design so they asked me to design and build their e-commerce website.
As well as offering a smooth and intuitive purchasing process, the site’s messaging had to work hard to dispel the common myth that recycled golf balls were inferior to their new counterparts. This was achieved by ensuring that a clear message was presented throughout the site in the form of customer testimonials, Trustpilot reviews, grading guides, FAQs and easily-found information on all product pages.
The project was also unique in that it was determined that custom product images would be required to better present the various golf ball brands, package sizes and ball grades. Flexible Photoshop templates were created for the client to produce their own product images once the site was live.
